Originally designed to be an in-class workshop, this necklace has become very popular! It’s a beaded variation of the crocodile stitch. This is the same pattern you may have seen in my ravelry.com shop. Once you get the hang of the stitch, this is an easy project that can be whipped up within an hour.
This is a great necklace to create with scraps or leftover yarns & perfect for summer necklines.
💡 Know a crocheter looking for a unique project? You can assemble the perfect gift by putting together a kit with a pattern and all the necessary materials for your creative friend.
Pattern is an instant download, 6-page .pdf with color photographs.
Materials needed to create your necklace:
- Yarn & hook (Sample photo was created with Blue Sky Alpacas - Alpaca Silk (sport weight yarn) & size F - 3.75mm hook)
- 10 Miyuki (brand) beads, size 6/0
- Beading needle (large eye to string beads)
- stitch marker, and blunt sewing needle for finishing
- Chain is optional: there are suggestions in the pattern for beaded or crochet chain versions.
Of course you can make this with any weight yarn, just adjust your hook and bead size. It's easy to customize this with colors and fibers to make your project unique.
